Development of a Repository of Technologies and Tools to Improve Digital Skills and Inclusivity in Education, Based on School Gardens
摘要
This paper presents the development of a repository of technologies and tools designed for improving digital skills and competences of school teachers and students, and to promote an inclusive education by using real-life applications in ecological school gardens. The repository was developed within the eSGarden—“School Gardens for Future Citizens” Erasmus + project, which started as a strategic partnership in the field of education, in the frame of the Erasmus KA2 Supporting Innovation Action. These tools and technologies together with examples of learning activities developed in eSGarden project partner schools are facilitating a more inclusive and interactive learning environment and they are raising awareness of the technology impact on everyday life, health, and sus-tainability. The development of this repository was realized during the project through creation of eBooks and video tutorials describing the setting-up of a school garden where children will learn about healthy food and sustainable growth, guidelines concerning the use of IoT for monitoring different parameters from the garden through a new mobile app designed for schools, strategies for coding and examples of learning activities that were performed in primary and secondary schools based on these technologies.
