Nature of Human Intelligence: An Involuted Model of Semantic Search

  • Pradeep J. N. Chhaya

摘要

The notion of human intelligence has remained nebulous. In fact, all attempts to develop a quantitative measure of human intelligence have been found to be inadequate and even controversial. However, there is a grudging acceptance of the fact that human intelligence may be multidimensional and therefore its quantitative measurements are actually a problem of mathematical formalisms as much as it is a problem of what constitutes a human intelligence. In the accompanying chapter, a new template of cognition was described. This formalism of the involuted manifold addresses the problem of defining human intelligence as well as its computation in quantitative terms from a totally different approach. In this chapter, we will employ this model to formally represent human intelligence in multiple dimensions simultaneously. The topological framework provides a protocol for computing human intelligence across these dimensions. Incidentally, this model turns out to be compatible with the modular mind and its evolution.
