The world’s current human population is 8.1 billion, and it is predicted to greatly increase in the upcoming years. The accelerating rates of urbanization will have a critical impact on the world’s food supply. It impacts both the quality and quantity of the supply and will entirely depend upon what is provided in rural areas. Up to now, the world has been able to meet increased demands for food through a combination of increased production coupled with improved efficiency.
