Meeting Farmers’ Needs for Agrometeorological Services: An Overview and Case Studies

A majority of the Indian population is still dependent on agriculture for their livelihoods. Most of the farming community are not fully aware of the modern technologies for agriculture and often use age-old wisdom as a guideline for growing crops. They very well know that agriculture in India is highly dependent on the arrival of the monsoon and its seasonal activity.
