Climate Field Schools for Supporting Food Security Program in Indonesia

Indonesia is flanked by two oceans and two continents. It is an archipelago of more than 17,000 islands that straddle the equator and is flanked by both the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Indonesia is surrounded by mountainous ring-of-fire and prone to extreme weather and climates. The long distance between the most eastern and western regions highlights the problems posed by climate and weather. There are 342 climate zones based on different climate patterns, and 73 are areas where its wet and dry seasonal onsets cannot be identified.
