Spring Frost Risk in Orchards: Forecast and Protection Methods
摘要
Trends in climate change and the likelihood of increasing future climate-weather-related hazards make it imperative that we develop strategies to reduce potential impacts on crop yields and to increase our capacity to adapt and prosper agriculturally. Adaptation is one of the three pillars of “Climate Smart Agriculture,” a set of strategies that promote resilient management, sustainability, and resource and food security (FAO, 2013). Climate smart innovations need to be broad and varied, since local threats and needs may be disparate and diverse; every tool and solution may not work for each specific condition.
