Impacts of Climate on the Livestock Sector

Human activity is changing the climate on earth and many of these changes are deemed inevitable. The main question raised today is about the magnitude of such changes and their links with human activity. Even though detailed certainties about these changes are lacking, most available scenarios on climate change point towards a global warming marked by a reduction in average rainfall and in increase in climatic variability—both in terms of frequency and the scope of extremes.
