Objectivity

This chapter introduces the foundations of the kinetics for large strain, as developed during the second half of the twentieth century. This formalism is still often a source of confusion that seriously discourages model designers from using thermodynamics. So, an attempt to clarify its main theoretical concepts is proposed here, with the help of illustrations, tables and discussions throughout this chapter.
