The R Programming Language

This book is accompanied by an open-source software tool that allows for deriving regression-based normative data in a straightforward way. The software is written in the R programming language. This chapter provides a basic introduction into R, so that readers who are not familiar with this software can understand the essential commands that are used in the subsequent chapters of the book.
