Existential Distress at the End of Life
摘要
Existential distress at the end of life is a common experience for patients with a serious illness and those caring for them. Of paramount importance is the interdisciplinary team’s response to issues of faith, spirituality, and existential concerns, with compassion, intentional listening, and complete presence. This chapter will examine the multidimensional nature of distress at the end of life, the challenges of diagnosing and treating existential distress, suffering, and opportunities for spiritual growth.
