摘要

This chapter introduces, using a few diagrams, the framework used throughout the book in describing an application in use. It also introduces the key terms used to describe and discuss conceptual models: people, domains, objects, attributes, operations, relations, tasks, plans, activities, applications, uses, user interfaces, and implementation. It then addresses the practices of designing and using applications, and how conceptual models can play a central role in coordinating those processes.
