Aesthetic Positive Pedagogy and Assessment
摘要
This chapter shares theoretical and practical insights into how educators might understand and enact assessment within APP environments. We view assessment as a way of understanding students’ progress in, and through, learning. Of utmost importance in such an approach is student voice and choice. We argue that students should not only have agency in approaching their learning but also how this learning is evaluated through varied assessment. We explore assessment for learning as being privileged over assessment of learning and provide a rationale for why some forms of assessment of learning that are required by wider educational stakeholders are outside the concern of the APP educator. Finally, we share different and authentic strategies for classroom contexts such as peer assessment, online assessment and multimodal assessment practices for students.
