Using the Web Soil Survey for Various Applications

This lab activity focuses on exploring soil information using the SOILWEB app. The lab aims to enhance understanding of soil classification systems and their practical applications in land use planning and plant growth strategies. The activity involves utilizing a smartphone or computer to access the app and following a step-by-step procedure. Participants will investigate various aspects of soil information, including urban land composition, soil profiles, parameters, taxonomy, erosion ratings, forest productivity, soil suitability, series extent, and lab data analysis. The lab provides an engaging opportunity to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world soil applications.
