Scalable Real-Time Simulation of Electrical Power System Models in the Cloud
摘要
This paper proposes a scalable system for real-time simulation of models of different electrical power systems. The main goal of this system is to simulate electrical energy fluctuation of a complex electrical power system which allows investigation of how different system components behave under different circumstances. Proposed system works with both live and historical data which are collected from the physical site. On the other hand, by using historical data, the system can mimic the behavior of the physical system over a longer period of time and to eventually show how the real system would function in the given period of time. Benefit of this system is that it allows the analysis of how electrical power flows through the system. Moreover, it simulates how the system functions in various scenarios which is achieved by using parametrization of the model. In addition, the observed shortcomings of the system were highlighted with suggestions for possible future work and improvements of the system.
