Multimodality Imaging of Mitral Valve Diseases: TEER, Valve in Valve, and Beyond

The mitral valve apparatus is a complex structure that requires harmonious interplay of several key components to function properly. As such, diseases of the mitral valve can present a significant challenge for clinicians to diagnose and manage. Innovation in cardiac imaging techniques, transcatheter based interventions and study of clinical outcomes has transformed the care available for patients with mitral valve disorders. In this chapter, a case-based review of the optimal imaging approach to patients being evaluated for transcatheter mitral valve intervention will be presented. More specifically, imaging considerations for the following interventions will be reviewed:
