AI Capabilities Framework

  • Andrew Burgess

摘要

This chapter outlines the various capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which are categorised into four main objectives: capturing information, generating information, determining what is happening, and understanding why it is happening. AI’s ability to capture information involves turning unstructured data into structured data, while generating information involves creating new content. Determining what is happening involves AI's ability to interpret and understand data, such as speech or images. Understanding why something is happening is a more complex process, beyond today's AI capabilities. The author also discusses the limitations of AI, particularly in terms of understanding context and avoiding bias. It concludes by emphasising the importance of understanding these capabilities and limitations for businesses looking to implement AI solutions.
