Evaluation and Retrospective Measurements
摘要
Assessment is crucial for the effective treatment of insomnia and should be conducted at various stages throughout the treatment process. This includes pre-treatment assessments for diagnostic purposes and identifying contributing factors, as well as evaluations during and after treatment to measure the effectiveness of the intervention. Both retrospective and prospective methods can be used for these assessments, including clinical history, questionnaires, and self-registration tools. It is important to note that measurement scales should not be used as the sole diagnostic criteria and that the data obtained from these tools can be used to supplement the investigative process. This chapter further discusses specific scales used to assess insomnia severity, sleep quality, and general sleep complaints.
