Evidence of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy-Based Therapies for Insomnia
摘要
There is evidence that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be applied to a range of disorders, including insomnia. This chapter presents the main systematic reviews and meta-analyses on ACT for insomnia and synthesizes the results of the studies included in these reviews. Based on the synthesis of the results of 35 studies identified in the reviews, this chapter discusses the type of outcome (i.e., primary or secondary) of insomnia in the studies, ACT modalities used in the interventions, comparisons of ACT with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and how the ACT approach can contribute to the individualization of interventions. At the end, this chapter suggests possible directions for future research on processes or outcomes.
