From Academic Bioscience to Patent Law

This chapter follows my personal transition from academic science to patent law. Described are different types of patent practitioners and law firms and the usual activities of patent lawyers. Differences between academic science and patent law are highlighted. The patent right and the statutory requirements for patentability are discussed.
