Precision Health: Past, Current, and Future

This chapter is to give an overview of the roadmap from precision medicine to precision health in their past, current, and future. As a common goal for both precision medicine and precision health to improve health for each of us and all of us, this chapter will focus on the introduction of the theory, methods, and applications covered in this book. It includes an overview of precision health in the big data era, new advances in statistical methods of precision medicine, precision medicine in clinic trials, and precision medicine in survival analysis and genomic studies.
