Transformative Justice: Shifting Paradigms

  • Karla Sapp

摘要

Traditional punitive models of justice have often been criticized for their lack of effectiveness in addressing the root causes of harm and promoting healing within communities. In response to this criticism, transformative justice has emerged as an alternative framework that aims to shift the paradigm of justice towards greater accountability, healing, and community engagement. This chapter explores transformative justice as a viable alternative to traditional punitive models, delves into the concepts of accountability, healing, and community engagement within transformative justice practices, and examines how this approach can address the root causes of harm and work towards social transformation.
