Intraoperative Aberrometry

Intraoperative aberrometry (IA) has advanced high-precision ocular biometry from the clinic into the surgical suite. Additional optical biometric data during cataract surgery can enhance surgical decision-making and help improve fidelity and refractive outcomes of IOL implantation. This is particularly timely in the age of premium IOLs and higher patient expectations for reduced post-surgical refractive errors, spectacle independence, and astigmatism correction. IA is one of the first examples of automated biometric systems with cloud-based connectivity in ophthalmology.
