An Introduction to Optimal Transport and Wasserstein Gradient Flows

These short notes summarize a series of lectures given by the author during the School “Optimal Transport on Quantum Structures”, which took place on September 19th–23rd, 2022, at the Erdős Center—Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics. The lectures aimed to introduce the classical optimal transport problem and the theory of Wasserstein gradient flows.
