摘要

Three-dimensionalbasin modeling shows different conditions and their deep-lateral expansion range under which Paleogene-Mioceneimpermeable clayey source beds in the SCB have very high fluid-conductive and reservoir potential. Hence, we believe that thefollowing investigations are reasonably warranted: (1) a particular geological-geophysical exploration of vertically orientedzones in Paleogene-Miocene deposits on the mentioned structures to possibly draw them into development, and (2) there maybe the possibility of oil and gas accumulation discovery in a zone of the dynamic effect of subvertical geological bodies (SGB)revealed by a seismic survey. These SGBs are likely the zones of increased permeability, porosity, and low pressures (comparedwith environmental rocks). It provides constant HC inflow from environmental space. Moreover, if mud volcanoes appearconfined to these zones, periodic eruptions may activate the inflow process. Thus, the processes of forming and evolution of thesubvertical geological bodies can be compared with the giant pump forcing out the hydrocarbons from the sedimentary rocks.
