摘要

Africa as a continent has been grappling with a number of calamities. These have left a devastation not just to her environment but to the inhabitants as well. One such calamity has been singled out as crop diseases which have culminated in food shortage and scarcity resulting in food insecurity in the continent as a whole. This chapter acknowledges that religions have been active players in the fight against food insecurity in Africa. However, it will use the lens of Hinduism in order to establish the role it has played in the fight against crop diseases and food insecurity in Africa.
