Rationale and Clinical Guidelines for Post-Orthobiologic Rehabilitation

The use of orthobiologic and cell-based therapies for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries has risen dramatically over the past decade. Literature supporting their use has also risen significantly delineating cell harvest techniques, bio formulations, injection techniques, and treatment efficacy, for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. However, literature describing the clinical rationale for rehabilitation guidelines for these cell-based therapies is still lacking. Over the past 20 years, we have compiled a wealth of real-life experience determining the efficacy of rehabilitation progressions to rehabilitate our patients treated with cell-based therapies.
