Artificial Intelligence: New Challenges for Diplomacy

This chapter deals with AI and its implications for diplomacy. It proposes arguments about major challenges related to AI diplomacy and interaction between AI and diplomacy. Firstly, this chapter discusses deeper changes created by AI in diplomacy. Secondly, it discusses the significant role in the global governance of AI. As concluded in this paper, optimal actions are needed since AI is strengthening the role of other actors such as transnational corporation in international society at the expense of governments and states’ role.
