Clinical Evaluation: Neurological Examination and Standardized Scales

Neurological examination in traumatized patients is a main drive in the decisional process about treatment and diagnostic choices and is a base of the prognostication process. We hereby present a neurological evaluation scheme and the most used scores, useful for damage stratification and communication between the professional figures involved in those patients’ management. We will specify the different objectives and pitfalls for every treatment phase of patients with traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, or both.
