Measurement of Liquid Crystal Parameters and Physical Properties

In the applications and basic understanding of liquid crystalline materials a central role is played by the chemical, physical, dielectric, electro-optical, magnetic, spectroscopic, etc., properties. Therefore, the systematic and accurate measurements of these properties are necessary. In recent few decades, subject has grown in its experimental aspect and a rich array of data is available. However, from the point of view of many experimental and theoretical aspects very precise data are needed. This requires a careful selection of experimental techniques and accurate measurements.
