Structural Dynamics: The Concept of Free Vibration Modes

An important role in the aeroelastic properties of a wing system is played by the structural dynamics. In practice, the wing is discretized with the finite element method. The mode shapes, discussed in the Doublet Lattice Method formulation, are here introduced in detail.
