Transformation in Arabian Architecture Between Humanity and Materialism Dubai as a Model

One of the problems facing contemporary architecture is the sovereignty of materialism, which cares only for physical needs and rejects all supernatural ideologies and civilizational privacy in every society. This physical model becomes one of the aims of development in Arabian cities without studying the influence of this model on the culture and civilization of these societies or predicting the dangers of this model on man as it segregates him from his humanity. Also, it is not the optimal model for the sustainable development of Arabian and Islamic societies. The main research goals are to monitoring transformations in contemporary Arab architecture as a result of the physical model effect, identify a suitable model for the nature of the region and its civilization and culture, and the determine extent of the impact of this model on the nature of society. The research also aims to set up a model to analyze the architectural model's suitability for Arab societies. The research hypothesis is that developing a humane architecture model in Arab cities can achieve higher sustainability standards and quality of life than the model affected by materialism. It will present an architecture that considers both the nature of the place and the human being. The research methodology is divided into three methods. Through a theoretical approach, human architecture will be studied, as well as the definition of materialism. Heritage architecture will be studied as a model for architecture compatible with the environment. Moreover, the analytical approach analyzes human factors in architecture to build the appropriate model for the environment and community in Arab cities. The applied approach will test the proposed human architecture model on the Dubai architecture model. The research finds factors that affect human architecture appropriate to environment and culture, influences of the Dubai architecture model repetition in other Arabian cities.
