High-Fidelity Model-Based Simulation of a Medium Weight Shock Machine
摘要
On-board warship equipment is subjected to strict standards to guarantee an appropriate performance under critical situations. One of the demanded requirements is the strength to the effects of a submarine explosion without contact with the hull, for which, along the years, a series of standards and technical specifications committed to the reproduction of these conditions on test machines has been developed. The current work focus on the detailed study of the dynamics of the Medium Weight Shock Machine (MWSM). Since its appearance in 1942, several studies have been published in the same line, but all of them are based on simplified models which offer, under particular circumstances, results with important deviations with respect to real measurements. In this work, several effects not covered by the moment in the bibliography are included using the fundamentals of multibody dynamics, prompting a notably more reliable and accurate prediction of the machine dynamics.
