Simulation Model of a HVAC System for a Digital Twin
摘要
Digitalization is rapidly expanding concept aiming higher connectivity within digital world in order to shorten time to reach objects and specific information in the clouds. Digital twin is virtualized replica of real-world object used for managing, testing and enhancing the object through the utilization of digitalization concept. Digital twin is extensively applicable for different industries and maritime industry is putting more pressure on this concept through classification societies’ regulations. Energy consumption within ship is main reason for cost and environmental pollution from ship, to solve this, digital twin concept is used on one of the key energy consumer system of ship, HVAC system. Various condition for a control room is performed and compared with real-world data, yielding 3–5% inaccuracy. Simulation file prepared in Siemens Amesim software is demonstrated in the MATLAB/Simulink in order to duplicate creation of the simulation’s control system for testing and checking validating the outcome in a different environment. Python coding language is used for operating control system of the simulation in the common simulation format of Functional Mock-up Unit (FMU). Idea of running simulation in the several programs is checking operability of the simulation and integrity of each program’s beneficial functions. Case study simulation findings are visualized in Mendix’s cloud-based low code program which enriches raw data into easy-to-use and comprehend graphs. Future anticipation to be expected in order to improvise data source from fix simulation time to real-time data stream from sensor on board.
