Automated Surface Threat Evaluation on Naval Vessels with Limited Capabilities
摘要
Finding an efficient computational model for threat evaluation in warships is usually a complex task. This task can be even more complicated when conceiving a model for naval vessels with limited capacity such as ocean or coastal patrol vessels, which in many cases only have a single two-dimensional surveillance radar for surface contacts. In this paper, we present a naïve Bayes inspired model that tackles this problem for the case of the Colombian Navy. Concerning the validation, we generated the input information by using a 2D surveillance radar simulator, and then compared our model to a previous model proposed in the literature under different scenarios.
