Financing of Wave Energy Farms in Times of Crisis

The main objective of the present paper is to analyze the influence of the financing conditions in wave energy farms. In this sense, the method described will show the influence of the interest rate in the main economic parameters of an investment: Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV). The case of study will analyze the particular location of the Mediterranean Sea at the Iberian Peninsula. Results will allow the investors to examine the influence of the changes of the financing conditions in situations such as the Russia-Ukraine war of last year.
