CFD Model and Mathematical Approach of Photovoltaic Panels in Offshore Environments
摘要
Solar energy presents an increasingly relevant contribution in electricity generation worldwide. Traditionally, its installation has focused on onshore locations. However, in recent years it has been observed that offshore location has certain advantages, mainly related to the cooling of the facilities. The offshore location allows both the sea and the intense winds to contribute to a more efficient cooling of the panels, thereby increasing the production of electrical energy. To analyze this effect in more detail, this paper proposes both a mathematical and a numerical model to analyze the cooling process of solar panels installed offshore.
