Hydrology by the Numbers and for the Numbers
摘要
Water appears in our lives in various ways. Few appearances are simple and, when human interests are involved, they become highly complex. Complexity poses multiple difficulties, e.g.: complex water phenomena are hard to predict, and they are difficult to communicate effectively and efficiently. Thus, we use reductionism to simplify the complex phenomena we encounter into manageable ideas. When done well, it overcomes these difficulties (and many others not yet discussed in these contemplations).
