Development of Tools and Selections for the Run 3 LHCb Trigger

This chapter describes the author's contribution to the development of the LHCb trigger software in readiness for data-taking. This is primarily the creation of an automated soft-ware tool to facilitate the test-driven development of the trigger. The chapter concludes with the author's own usage of said tool, firstly in the comparison study for the trigger's new GPU architecture, and finally to develop selections for electroweak physics in future data-taking periods.
