Empowerment in Proactive Behavior and Emotion Management
摘要
Emotions are important elements in the development, change, and direction of individuals’ attitudes and behaviors in both private and business life. Some emotions (positive or negative) that individuals experience affect their reactions to their environment. Moreover, it affects the shaping of emotional events in the perception, attitude, and behavior of the individual in temporary or short-term moments. According to the theory of emotional events, positive emotions experienced by individuals enable them to develop positive attitudes and behaviors, while negative emotions cause individuals to exhibit negative attitudes and behaviors. In other words, as a result of positive emotions (happiness, joy, belonging, etc.) that individuals feel in their institutions, they experience positive job outcomes (such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment) and negative emotions (hate, sadness, disappointment, etc.) as well as turnover intention and job stress. There are very few resources on proactive behavior and emotion management in the literature. In this context, this section aims to examine how emotional intelligence and emotion management shape proactive behavior.
