Introduction to Climate Nexus

The Climate Nexus is introduce the complexity in mitigating climate change. Many believe that a transition to renewable energy is the solution to climate change. It is far from! We also need to transform our land use, our value chains, means of manufacturing, and transportation infrastructure. The transition must have a holistic approach to stop emissions ensuring a livable and sustainable planet for all. The Climate Nexus is a framework to visualize the great transition to a Green and Circular Economy and to point at holistic solutions. The transition requires a broad understanding of sustainability, impacts, science, business, and stakeholder engagement. If we dare to make bold decisions and have a holistic approach to the great transition to a Green and Circular Economy, the mitigation of climate change can be the train to drive change. But first, we need to understand the details of this transition to genuine sustainability. Part II of this book unfolds the Climate Nexus and gives solutions to the four elements of the Nexus: Energy Transition, Circular Economy, Sustainable shared, public, and individual Transportation, and Sustainable Agriculture and Healthy Diets.
