EU Legislation to a Green Economy

The drivers of the transition to a new Green and Circular Economy is the extensive legislation, together with increasing demands from consumers on genuine green products, and employees on responsible companies. A strong competitiveness in the market is to provide products that serve a greater purpose than just linear waste consumption. The EU legislation based on the EU Green Deal are creating significant new market conditions why companies need to transform to maintain access to the EU markets within the next 10 years. US and China is also rapidly transforming their economies to become independant on fossil fuels and the continous harvest of virgin raw materials. This chapter provides an overview of the European legislation and highlights the legislative framework that will change market conditions.
