Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth – The Case of Puma
摘要
The UN SDGs were approved in 2015 by the world’s heads of state and government (UN, 2024). The purpose of this initiative was to achieve certain goals that are good for humans and the planet by 2030. Sustainability is about meeting today’s needs without compromising the possibilities of future generations (Brundtland Commission Report, 1987). According to the UN, sustainability consists of three main elements: economic, environmental and social pillars ( sdgs.un.org ). These elements are usually seen as people, planet and profits, all of which can be easily recognised in the foci of each of the 17 goals (Alshehhi et al., 2018). However, the UN alone cannot ensure that these goals are achieved without all the actors being sufficiently involved within the ecosystem. The actors in the ecosystem are organisations, consumers, suppliers, stakeholders, governments and more.
