Verificate is a proposed system that leverages blockchain technology to securely store verified certificates, both of an educational nature and others. In the competitive job market, it has become a common malpractice for students to forge certificates to get a desired job. There is a very high likelihood of a firm hiring someone based on a fake document. Using Blockchain technology, “Verificate” assures hiring managers of the authenticity of certificates submitted by aspirants and assures students of the secure storage of the certificate. The system achieves its goal of certificate verification and authenticity retention by use of distributed systems like IPFS and Ethereum. The system provides a single point of contact to all stakeholders and aims to enhance the productivity of the verification process. Verificate prevents document counterfeiting and provides safe, secure, and convenient storage for certificates.
