Exploring the Intersection of Entrepreneurship and Blockchain Technology: A Research Landscape Through R Studio and VOSviewer
摘要
The study explores how blockchain technology’s decentralized, secure, and transparent features extend beyond cryptocurrencies, impacting entrepreneurship. Employing a comprehensive bibliometric analysis, the research examines the evolving relationship between blockchain and entrepreneurship using the Web of Science (WOS) database from 2017 to May 2023. The analysis, facilitated by bibliometrix and VOSviewer, uncovers that while no clear chronological trend in research emergence is evident, 2022 and 2020 stand out as productive years. Interestingly, despite blockchain’s inception in 2008, its connection to entrepreneurship gained attention in 2017. The thematic analysis highlights pivotal themes such as entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation. While recognizing blockchain’s disruptive potential, the knowledge gap persists. The study contributes theoretical insights by mapping interdisciplinary influences and practical implications, emphasizing blockchain’s capacity to enhance transparency and efficiency in entrepreneurship. Although based on a single database, this research serves as a springboard for future endeavors, encouraging exploration of additional sources and utilization of diverse analysis tools for deeper insights into this burgeoning domain’s evolution.
