Bridging Communities in Colombia
摘要
Digital journalism in Colombia developed fairly early on, in comparison to other South American countries. However, it counted a small portion of its population with internet access in the early days of digital journalism. It wasn’t until the advancement of mobile technology with data potential in 2010 that we saw a boom in digital-native news. This chapter discusses the emergence of digital-native news organizations in Colombia within the context and particularities of its media systems. The organization Consejo de Redaccíón provides an overview of challenges and opportunities for digital-native news.
