Lecture 7—Displays and Other Output Devices

In this lecture, we discuss various types of output devices, also known as displays, employed by VR systems. We begin the lecture with an overview of output devices in general. The output can take various forms. In this lecture, we will first examine video displays as one of the most widely used and most diverse groups of displays. First, we will examine various video display technologies in general as they form the basis of both 2D and 3D video displays. We continue by presenting different 3D display devices.
