Nose

The nose is a complex three-dimensional structure and forms the most prominent part of the face. The concept of “subunits” was initially popularised in the nose. The relevant anatomy is highlighted, and its relevance in the reconstruction of defects in the different subunits is described. The most appropriate reconstructive options for defects of various sizes, shapes and depth in the different subunits are described in detail with the help of excellent step-by-step colour diagrams and photographs of clinical cases. A helpful algorithm of reconstructive options is included at the end of the chapter.
