摘要

Robot-assisted pyeloplasty (RAP) as management of ureteropelvic junction obstruction is gaining traction, with a success rate easily exceeding 95%. Technically, RAP makes the dissection, reconstruction and suturing much easier. The judicious use of stents, drains, and catheters are recommended. Now, the urologist has a choice of performing a single-port or a multiport entry in addition to a transmesenteric approach to pyeloplasty. This minimally invasive procedure, which is even safely utilized in children, is well accepted by the patient, as it decreases hospital duration, reduces narcotic use, and promotes a quicker recovery.
