Robot-Assisted Simple Prostatectomy
摘要
Several types of procedures to treat large adenomas of the prostate have been described in the past including open, robotic or transurethral enucleation. The feasibility of robot-assisted simple prostatectomy (RASP) with a transperitoneal or extraperitoneal approach was demonstrated over time and the techniques have been further modified. Especially, extraperitoneal extravesical robot-assisted simple prostatectomy (EE-RASP) with intraprostatic urethral reconstruction excluding the prostatic cavity has been proposed as a safe and effective technique. This new technique provides reduction of complications from the prostate bed such as bleeding, temporary incontinence, urgency and frequency.
