Training and Education in Robotic Surgery: Recommendations of ERUS (EAU Robotic Urology Section)
摘要
This chapter includes the most recent recommendations of the EAU Robotic Urology Section (ERUS) regarding training and education in robotic urology. It gives an overview of the current scenario, the problems we are facing and the strategies that are being implemented to standardize robotic training. It also reviews in detail the different tools that are available today such as e-learning platforms, 3-D printing, virtual reality, augmented reality as well as animal and cadaveric models. Furthermore, it includes a section related to assessment, trainers, and robotic certification, making a special emphasis in the importance of non-technical skills. Finally, an overview of the ERUS programs available including: Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RARP), Robot-Assisted Partial Nephrectomy (RAPN) and Robot-Assisted Radical Cystectomy (RAPC) is provided.
